Disarmingly warm and friendly with hearty dashes of fun and frivolity, Robinson has reflected his personality in the execution of his first store and the carefully curated collection it houses. From the moment you enter his flagship boutique on New South Head Road at Double Bay, it is apparent this is a man and a business that wants to do things differently.
Armed with a wealth of knowledge and an innate ability to translate his clients’ wishes and budget into pieces that merge sentimentality and style – Robinson’s first store displays his irreverent take on one-of-a-kind bespoke commissions and thoughtfully sourced vintage pieces.
The store itself is punctuated with furniture pieces that range from 17th-century antiques to the modern designs of Matteo Grassi. Award-winning goldsmith Merridee Cram, whose jewels will be available in store, has been commissioned to create the playful mice locks crafted in bronze that seals the reinforced glass of the store windows.
The store will offer design, jewel procurement, valuation, repair, consignment and brokerage services.
